I look at the world in wonder
and marvel at our diversity
from poetry to perversion
from greatness to greed
from sacrifice to sadism
from brilliance to butchery
from music to mayhem
such extremes of behavior
such extremes of possibility no wonder my dear sweet mother
said so often before she died
"People are more interesting
