NPR story, big debate in Germany. I'm very radical on this issue. Usual criteria are terminal illnesses. I would define life itself as a terminal illness (!), make everyone eligible after a certain age. What age? Law would have to determine. I'd say 70 or 75, certainly no more than 80.
If you are not free to die, your "freedom" is a sham.
