Irony

Auburn won its first SEC softball title ... unearned and ironic.

Tenn. has 2 run lead, 3 outs from the title. Tenn. coach makes some defensive substitutions.

Auburn scores a run. Now it's 2 outs but tying run on third. Fly ball to left fielder, one of the defensive changes ... she drops the ball, taking away Tenn. title in regulation! Tie game, and Auburn goes on to win in extra innings.

The fielder won't sleep well tonight ...
