High tech

BBC radio doc on what's ahead: not sure if celebration or depression is proper response. Life has become so layered. No clue here of planetary emergency. So much goes on as normal. Powerlessness breeds habit. Or diversion.

All I know is, No way do I want to be younger.

Commission, Oregon Public Broadcasting, to write teleplay on Sen. Wayne Morse. Never produced. Becomes one-man play, American Gadfly, produced in 2004, then tours.

Publish seminal essay What Is Hypertext? on Internet. Translated into several languages, establishes online reputation.

Electronic Playwright-in-residence, Prisma, Santiago, Chile, resulting in The Last Song of Violeta Parra, a one-act hyperdrama.
