I wrote this as a screenplay originally, rather out of frustration because I was reading so many student screenplays about vampires. Could I do something different with the genre? Later I created a series of novellas based on screenplays, utilizing "vertical writing" and brevity, with the intention that they would be read on small electronic devices ... writing for the hardware, in other words. I still think someone will make good money developing this idea.
