A favorite moment

I am up to read the paper. Sketch is asleep on the divan. I grab my Kindle Fire and sit beside him. He wakes, glances up and sees who it is. He goes back to sleep.

His comfort is my comfort. The day begins.

Commission, Oregon Public Broadcasting, to write teleplay on Sen. Wayne Morse. Never produced. Becomes one-man play, American Gadfly, produced in 2004, then tours.

Publish seminal essay What Is Hypertext? on Internet. Translated into several languages, establishes online reputation.

Electronic Playwright-in-residence, Prisma, Santiago, Chile, resulting in The Last Song of Violeta Parra, a one-act hyperdrama.
