My solitary highlight of the season, memories of dad, blackeyed peas ... Army hasn't won since 2001 and I doubt if this is the year. Go, Navy!

Is this the last shmaltzy ritual in my life? Appears to be.

Commission, Oregon Public Broadcasting, to write teleplay on Sen. Wayne Morse. Never produced. Becomes one-man play, American Gadfly, produced in 2004, then tours.

Publish seminal essay What Is Hypertext? on Internet. Translated into several languages, establishes online reputation.

Electronic Playwright-in-residence, Prisma, Santiago, Chile, resulting in The Last Song of Violeta Parra, a one-act hyperdrama.
