Hopeful

Took H daughter, grandson, to dinner ... both dark drug pasts ... both getting it together, visible progress, realistuc attitudes ... goal of trip to visit troubled wing of H family, here were signs to be hopeful.

Goal today is Arlington, little town on Columbia we've stayed in before. 170 miles, no rush.

Commission, Oregon Public Broadcasting, to write teleplay on Sen. Wayne Morse. Never produced. Becomes one-man play, American Gadfly, produced in 2004, then tours.

Publish seminal essay What Is Hypertext? on Internet. Translated into several languages, establishes online reputation.

Electronic Playwright-in-residence, Prisma, Santiago, Chile, resulting in The Last Song of Violeta Parra, a one-act hyperdrama.
