School Choice Mary Lou Bruner, the top vote-getter in a March 1 Republican primary for Texas Board of Education who now faces a May 24 runoff election, has alleged that President Obama was a “gay prostitute in his twenties,” which is “how he paid for his drugs”; said the United States “should ban Islam and stop all immigration . . . from Muslim countries”; and blamed school shootings on the ending of school prayer and the teaching of evolution. Asked about such musings, Bruner replied, “I’m not ashamed of anything that I have ever said.”
