Folk music

I performed a lot of folk music as a young man. This morning one of my standards was in my head, with the chorus: I'm a stranger here and only passing through.

Great summary! But no complaints. I had a remarkable visit with good fortune beyond understanding. All I have to do is glance around or hear a newscast to reinforce my luck of the draw.

Eager to shed responsibility for students. Eager to learn more skills on the ukulele. And keep baking bread.

"Charles Deemer's Oregon," a retrospective season of my plays, produced by Steve Smith, at the Firehouse Theatre.

Distinguished Scholar-in-Residence, The Catlin Gabel School

Commission, Oregon Public Broadcasting, to write teleplay on Sen. Wayne Morse. Never produced. Becomes one-man play, American Gadfly, produced in 2004, then tours.

Publish seminal essay What Is Hypertext? on Internet. Translated into several languages, establishes online reputation.

Electronic Playwright-in-residence, Prisma, Santiago, Chile, resulting in The Last Song of Violeta Parra, a one-act hyperdrama.
