Winter Olympics

Really enjoying biathlon, cross country, short track. Love jocks being ecstatic to get a bronze. Refreshing! departure from winning is everything.

Coming up: March madness, baseball, world cup. Any distraction from world affairs is fine by me. Dying empires are no fun.

Commission, Oregon Public Broadcasting, to write teleplay on Sen. Wayne Morse. Never produced. Becomes one-man play, American Gadfly, produced in 2004, then tours.

Publish seminal essay What Is Hypertext? on Internet. Translated into several languages, establishes online reputation.

Electronic Playwright-in-residence, Prisma, Santiago, Chile, resulting in The Last Song of Violeta Parra, a one-act hyperdrama.
