How the other half lives
Over in the Ukraine, the president is on the run and masses of folks are wandering his mansion and grounds in awe and disgust at where the wealth of their country went; and way over here, from the safe perch of American mythology, we can sympathize with them and forget that we, too, have our share of mansions and misspent wealth and we, too, have masses of folks who would wander through them in awe and disgust. So the powers that be don't want this moment to have any serious consequences.
