At the end of the marathon

At the end of the marathon
that's been my life
come exhaustion and marvel
reflection and wonder
satisfaction and doubt
many questions, few answers
leaving no resolution
no happy ending
nor sad ending
just the slowing down
of body and mind
in their awkward trajectory
toward eternal silence
