Bad draw for U.S.

"The World Cup draw makes for grim readings. The Americans have been drawn into a monster of a group. Germany and Portugal have legitimate aspirations of reaching the last four of the World Cup. Ghana, who have beaten the U.S. in the previous two World Cups, were a missed penalty kick away from the semifinal in 2010. The U.S. will have to be unified and in peak form by June 16 when it plays its first game against Ghana in Natal.

12:20 p.m.: The draw is complete. Here’s the field for the 2014 World Cup:
Group A: Brazil, Croatia, Cameroon, Mexico
Group B: Spain, Netherlands, Chile, Australia
Group C: Colombia, Greece, Ivory Coast, Japan
Group D: Uruguay, Costa Rica, England, Italy
Group E: Switzerland, Ecuador, France, Honduras
Group F: Argentina, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iran, Nigeria
Group G: Germany, Portugal, Ghana, USA
Group H: Belgium, Algeria, Russia, South Korea"

The draw was a hoot! I really enjoyed it. Like watching the March Madness field develop.
