pledging lifelong love
knowing full well
half of them are liars;

science committees;
social critics pointing out
absurdities as if
this will change anything.
What makes absurdity bearable
is not the illogic
but the wildness.
Or as my mother used to say,
"People are more interesting
than anybody."
