If you wanted to create a society
insensitive to pain and suffering
unable to hold interest in anything
for over five minutes
ready to try anything once
especially if it's on sale
fearful of nothing except
Silence
you couldn't do better
than what media do now
bombarding the populace
with so many horrors
they lose meaning
such rapid news
nothing sinks in
such variety of products
you always feel needy
relentless relentless jabber
