Warmth

Sometimes in this cold house
when even turning up the heat
when even putting on a coat
don't help, the only alternative
is to go back to bed
and get under the covers
which doesn't always help either
but at least it provides
the right image.

Commission, Oregon Public Broadcasting, to write teleplay on Sen. Wayne Morse. Never produced. Becomes one-man play, American Gadfly, produced in 2004, then tours.

Publish seminal essay What Is Hypertext? on Internet. Translated into several languages, establishes online reputation.

Electronic Playwright-in-residence, Prisma, Santiago, Chile, resulting in The Last Song of Violeta Parra, a one-act hyperdrama.
