Finishing up

Need to finish student projects today, half a dozen to go, then pick up finals tomorrow. Then read and turn in grades by Friday I hope.

Formalize a new ukulele study schedule ... evaluate where I am with Overdrive project ... brood if I have another "serious" writing project in me. Definitely have the story and themes but physical and especially psychological stamina are other matters. Maybe if I forced a less obsessive process, if possible: one page a day. Things to brood about.

Eager to start baking bread! Need to find people to give it to, can't eat that much. Many experimental breads in mind.

A colleague said I can come back and teach as an adjunct! - he thought I was tenured faculty, probably because I've been around so damn long. Also, my office is in the Emeriti Professors room, unusual for an adjunct. They always have treated me first class.

Have to adjust to considerably less income. Harder for H, who travels so much. I can transform into my minimalist living mode in an instant.

Winter term has always been the hardest for me. But only one more to go.

I think ukulele is a gift from the gods and buying a decent one is the best investment I ever made. I probably should give my other instruments to my godson.

Hard to get started this morning. Grading is the part of teaching I've never liked.
